Winter Safety Announcement
The Union Workplace Safety Committee is reminding all parents that the winter season is upon us. Please dress your children in appropriate warm clothing. Use of common sense is much easier than caring for children with colds and coughs. 2011-2012 School Immunization Requirements
NEW School Immunization Requirements Starting in 2011-2012 School Year Additional immunizations will be required by the Pennsylvania Department of Health for school attendance beginning in August of 2011. It was anticipated that the legislation would pass for this school year but the regulations were not finalized in time.
New requirement for all students in all grades beginning the 2011-2012 school year: 2 doses of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine or a history of the disease. The second dose is a new requirement. New requirement for all seventh grade students beginning the 2011-2012 school year: 1 dose of Tetanus, Diphtheria, Acellular Pertussis (Tdap) if 5 years have elapsed since last tetanus immunization and 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate Vaccine (MCV)
