Union School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Child-Specific Paraprofessional to provide academic, behavioral, and classroom support in an elementary
school setting.
The paraprofessional will be employed by Union School District and work at a partner school district in a neighboring community, collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and
administrators to support student success, positive behavior, independence, and participation in the school environment.
- Responsibilities include:
- Providing academic and classroom support
- Supporting engagement, organization, and completion of assignments
- Implementing positive behavioral support strategies
- Encouraging independence and appropriate social interactions
- Supporting IEP goals and specially designed instruction as directed by certified staff
- Collaborating with school personnel and maintaining confidentiality
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience supporting academic, behavioral, or special education needs preferred
- Positive, patient, dependable, and collaborative approach
- Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and use sound judgment
